To obtain an BFL borrowers card:
Present proper identification (photo ID) with your current address which verifies your permanent residence or property ownership in Barrett or Paradise Township.
If you are under 16, your parent/guardian must provide identification and sign for responsibility.
If you are a non-resident (without a PA Access library card) borrowing privileges cost $25 annually or $10 for three months.
Please bring your borrower's card each time you visit. You must present your own card to borrow materials. The library reserves the right to ask for additional identification. If you lose your card, there is a fee of $3.00 for each card replacement. Your borrower's card is renewed every three years after date of issue. All fines and fees must be cleared before a card can be renewed for another three years. You are responsible for all items borrowed on your card. Please do not lend your card to anyone.

Late fees are assessed from the first day past due on a per day, per item basis:
Videos, DVD’s $1.00 per day
All Other Materials $ .10 per day
Maximum late fees per item: $10.00 for adult materials
Current retail cost per item for magazines
Borrowing privileges are suspended when
charges on your card
reach $10.00.
If an item is lost or not returned, the library charges a re-stocking fee of $5.00 in addition to the current retail replacement cost of the item.
If your materials are more than 45 calendar days past due, your account may be assigned to a commercial collection agency.

Materials may be renewed TWO times as long as there are no holds pending. To renew by telephone, call (570) 595-7171 during Library business hours.
Public Internet service is available during open hours. Residents are required to sign in with a current BFL borrower’s card. The library reserves the right to restrict access for delinquent accounts. Word processing is available on all public computers.
