Story Hour and Children’s Activities

The children’s library area is a happy place throughout the week.  Imagination and creativity are encouraged through browsing books and the use of our puppet theatre.  Kids will enjoy working with our many puzzles and playing with a multitude of stuffed animals! There are also 3 computers loaded with special “kids” software to help develop those necessary computer skills early.  

Fun times for both kids and parents may be had by attending our story hours every week at these times:

                        Monday at 10:30 a.m.                      Toddlers 18 Months to 3 Years Old

                        Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.               Children 3 Years Old to 6 Years Old

During the year we offer special children’s themed story hours around holidays.  Also, during the summer we encourage parents and children to participate in our many summer reading programs which include incentives for reading books and fun weekly programs given by guest presenters.  In the past these have included plays, puppet shows, story tellers, nature walks, animal programs and more!
