This is a brand new process for all of us, so please be patient as we work out the kinks. We’ll adjust and change things as needed. We’re just so excited that we get to see patrons again (even if it’s only through the car window) and that you can get library materials!
FAQs
What are you doing to make curbside pickup safe for patrons and staff?
- -Items returned to the library are “quarantined” for three days and cleaned before being put back into circulation.
- -Staff are wearing masks, using gloves, and washing hands often when processing requests to pick up materials. We’re maintaining social distance and ask that you remain in your car when you come for your pickup.
How do I know what books and DVDs are available?
Browse the online library catalog: http://circ.wpcl.lib.pa.us/search~S10 We’ve been having difficulty with our website recently and are in the process of redesigning it. Even if you can’t access our website to get to the online catalog, this link will still be available.
How do I return my materials?
All items can be returned to the Drop Box near the back entrance to the library. Items that were checked out prior to the closure have been renewed until June 30. If you’re unable to return your materials before then, please call the library to let us know.
Since the county is in the Green Phase can we come into the library to get books?
Not yet. The building will remain closed to the public for a while longer. We are taking a cautious approach in the best interests of everyone’s health and safety–patrons and staff. Once we have additional safety measures and procedures in place and we’re confident that we can provide in-person services safely, we’ll gradually add more offerings like computer use by appointment and eventually shelf browsing. In the meantime, please take advantage of our curbside pickup service!
Can I donate all of the books and DVDs I cleaned out of my house the past few months?
Sorry, we cannot accept donations of any materials at this time. It is unknown when we will be able to start taking them again.
